The Redhouse Yacht Club is a sailing club situated in the village of Redhouse, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Sailing activity consists mainly of dinghy sailing on the Zwartkops river which runs through the village of Redhouse. We sail Optimists, Mirrors, Gypsies and Lasers along with an assortment of other craft.
While we frequently experience moderate to strong winds, the river environment is ideal for young or inexperienced sailors because the banks are always within reach. The level of safety inherent to river sailing makes our club the best place for a new skipper to learn the ropes and for experienced skippers to hone their skills.
For further information, please contact the Hon. Secretary, Esme Girdlestone on: 27 41 463 3566 or the grand-high-general-of-sailing-school, Rhona Clark on: 27 41 463 1611.
We are always eager for new members and would love to see you on the water!
"The best clubs cannot afford to change too much or they will lose their raison d'etre. They must provide at least a semblance of exclusivity. A club, after all, is a place where man goes to be among his own kind. It should be a refuge from the vulgarity of the outside world, a reassuringly fixed point, the echo of a more civilised way of living. The young have realised they can have fun at a club. It is where their true friends are."
